Hello and welcome to the 2nd issue of the RDA Wrap!
As part of our ongoing commitment to the development of new product offerings, we have spent much of 2007 researching several additional software products for our industry-specific solutions. Our recent relationship with software developer Cobalt, has seen the first of our exclusive agreements finalised, however there will be more to come in the New Year.
The Cobalt software, which provides an add-on to Microsoft Dynamics CRM, is designed specifically for Associations and member-based organisations. This is most exciting for us and we look forward to a strong partnership with this industry.
As mentioned, we continue to work on other opportunities with additional software offerings for our ERP and CRM products from Sage and Microsoft, as well as various other web based applications.
We are also finding that more and more of our clients are keen to use our services to reduce and consolidate their servers, and improve upon their storage and backup facilities for their critical business data. A significant part of most business’ quest for competitive advantage is in the management of and access to, current and historical data, without the need for greater hardware investment - our VMware and IBM Tivoli solutions provide the necessary requirements to cater to this.
As your IT partner, we will maintain the evaluation of our supplier offerings and ensure that relevant new releases of hardware and software technology are readily available to all our clients.
On another note, something I often consider is the external influence of our business decisions. I recently attended the annual conference of one of our hardware suppliers at which the terminology “green machine” was used extensively. This term refers to a machine that is manufactured in a clean environment, has low energy requirements and a significant part of the equipment is environmentally friendly (i.e. recyclable). I was interested and encouraged to note that, despite being slightly more expensive, there is a growing move towards “green machines” within the IT industry.
I wish you all a safe and happy festive season and we look forward to continuing our relationship in 2008. Before you read on through our December Wrap, it is worth noting our end of year holiday operations.
Merry Christmas!

How Engaged are Your Employees at Work?
AIM undertook a comprehensive national study in September and October 2006 to determine the factors that influence an employee's decision to leave or stay with a company, the average length of service, and if employee engagement is influenced by company, individual or management related issues. Nearly 3000 people participated in the survey, which is the second in a series of AIM Managing the Future. The results of the survey have lead to the development of this Whitepaper on How Engaged are Your Employees at Work?
